Fiorentina's new signing, Ulay, revealed that his idol is Yaya Toure. He also discussed this summer's World Cup and transfer negotiations with Fiorentina.
This is the club's centenary, and many important players have come to the team: What are your expectations?
"We're here to work. The team atmosphere is great, and the head coach is helping us. We'll train as hard as we can and give it our all. Then we'll see how far we can go."
What happened on the last day of the transfer window?
“I wanted to come here, I wanted to play for Fiorentina. My agent helped me a lot with this. Some things were exaggerated later, but now I'm only focused on this season and hope to rank as high as possible.”
Do you have a player you particularly admire who can help us understand your style better?
“I watch videos of many players. Yaya Toure was, and still is, my idol.”
What was your experience like at the World Cup?
“I didn’t think about the transfer market during the World Cup. After the World Cup, I was very happy with Fiorentina’s interest and I want to thank them. I didn’t hesitate at all because the plan was fantastic.”
