According to a post on social media earlier today by the Argentine media outlet Olé, the Argentine Football Association has officially designated July 15 as National Football Team Day.

The Argentine Football Association announced: "At the executive committee meeting held this afternoon at the Ezeiza training base, it was unanimously decided that July 15 will be designated as National Football Team Day, effective immediately."

According to the announcement, this date was set to commemorate Argentina's victory over England in the 2026 World Cup semi-final.

At the same time, this is also a recognition of all national teams at all levels, including youth teams, men's and women's teams, futsal teams, beach soccer teams and eleven-a-side teams; they train day after day at the Messi training base, defending their blue and white jerseys with dreams, joy and a sense of responsibility.
