According to Globo Esporte, Flamengo has offered €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses to sign a striker from Zenit St. Petersburg.

Flamengo have made new progress in their pursuit of Zenit striker Luis Enrique. The club has adjusted its transfer focus, offering approximately €30 million, plus €5 million in bonuses. If the deal goes through, this transfer fee will be the second-highest in Flamengo's history, second only to Paqueta's €45 million, and the player's salary will also be the highest in the team.
Zenit initially insisted on a €30 million price tag, but they are willing to lower it if other players are included in the negotiations. Botafogo had previously considered including Danilo in the deal, but the latter was unwilling to go to Russia.
Paqueta publicly welcomed the deal at a press conference: "I joked with Luis, I admire him, he's an excellent player. Let the club do what it needs to do, he will be very popular."
Luis Enrique, a product of Fluminense's youth academy, won the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian Serie A title with Botafogo in 2024 and represented Brazil in the World Cup this season. While Flamengo has also been monitoring Thiago Almada, Luis Enrique remains a long-term target.
