Juventus midfielder McKennie spoke about new signings and Yildiz in an interview with Tuttosport.
McKennie said: "Yes, as for these new players, I knew many of them before, or had played against them. I played against one or two of them in the World Cup; and another one in the league last season. Kolo is a very good person. I think he has integrated well into the dressing room. He knows what Juventus means and what Juventus needs."
I believe he can bring these things, and I think he's ready to do so. I also believe the other new players know how big Juventus is, how strong they can be, and how strong they should be. Hopefully, they can contribute, and I'm confident they will bring something to the team. Otherwise, if we didn't think they could help the team, we wouldn't have listed them as transfer targets. So everyone is eager to see what they can do this season.”
The American player then spoke about Yildiz: "I think Yildiz is a special player. We've seen that in the seasons he's played for the team. Wearing the number 10 jersey for Juventus means you have to be able to create something out of nothing and decide the game in crucial moments. He's still young, and I think he's still developing in that area. But ultimately, no player can do everything alone. Of course, those of us who are more experienced, and those around him, try to motivate him, to make him understand his position and what that responsibility means. I think he's doing a good job. So yes, I believe he can reach any height he wants. He has the talent and ability. As he grows and gains more experience, he'll become increasingly clear about our expectations of him and the expectations placed upon him by others. I also think he's someone who demands a lot of himself."
